The Project on Energy Conservation
The government of the Republic of Turkey heavily depends upon imports for its energy. Hence, it has been eagerly promoting energy conservation since the oil crisis. However, the self-supply rate of energy was less than 50% in 1997. This rate has been declining year on year in line with the rapid increase in energy consumption. NECC has been promoting energy conservation primarily for more than 600 companies with large-scale plants by offering training courses in energy management.
