Event Starting Date:

For Chapter 17 of the IDEAS recent book Transformational Evaluation for the Global Crisis of our Times, Rob D. van den Berg and Cristina Magro used a tool published by the Waters Center for Systems Thinking, named The Habits of a Systems Thinker. It showed to be useful to help formulate questions, organize the narrative and gain insights over an event of the magnitude of the pandemic. At the same time, in a virtuous loop, it proved to support evaluators to go beyond the traditional and discrete 5 characteristics of systems thinking disseminated in our field and navigate wide and deep in a system perspective.

The Waters Center and IDEAS have then jointly promoted a webinar on this chapter, to be held on October 7, 2021.

Learn how the Habits of a Systems Thinker can be used as a tool to help raise key questions and approaches that are crucial to addressing the current challenges facing the planet, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
