Shanna joined the GEF IEO in 2013 after receiving her M.A. in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Prior to receiving her degree, she completed internships at a REDD+ organization in Peru, an urban sustainability nonprofit in Baltimore, and for a climate scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In her free time, Shanna enjoys photography, Latin dance, cooking, playing sports, reading novels, and traveling.
