Webinar on Habits of a Systems Thinker

For Chapter 17 of the IDEAS recent book Transformational Evaluation for the Global Crisis of our Times, Rob D. van den Berg and Cristina Magro used a tool published by the Waters Center for Systems Thinking, named The Habits of a Systems Thinker. It showed to be useful to help formulate questions, organize the narrative and gain insights over an event of the magnitude of the pandemic.

AfrEA Conference in November 2021

The African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) will hold a conference 15-19 November 2021 both virtually and in-person in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The proposed conference theme  is “Evaluation that leaves no-one behind: empowering progress towards the Africa we want amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the other crises and opportunities facing us”.

Eight thematic areas are identified:

Book Launch for Evaluation in Fragility, Conflict and Violence

The International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAs) released a book on Evaluation in the Contexts of Fragility, Conflict and Violence which provides guidance from global evaluation practitioners from various organizations and regions. The book shows a diverse set of perspectives and experiences on sensitive issues when measuring change in unpredictable, complex, and violent situations. There are two book launches planned:
